⭕NBA models become scoring algorithms rather than decision models
What started as a decisioning discipline once has been reduced to data plumbing and prediction.
It should not be.
Not relying on a decision model in NBA turns it into a technical project, not a decisioning project. It makes your team vendor technology specialists instead of decisioning specialists.
When operational decisions meet real-time customer-facing interactions, they take on a new color and flavor.
But this does not mean they are not operational decisions.
🟣 Back-office operational decisions:
* Ensure the business runs correctly, safely, and within policy
* Impact costs and risk exposure of operations
🟣 Front-office operational decisions:
* Make interactions relevant, engaging, and valuable for the individual in real time
* Have a direct impact on LTV
NBA without decision modeling is fragile and opaque. NBA with decision modeling is scalable, explainable, and trustworthy. It is decisioning at its finest.
